Not sure what to listen too? No problem. We have you covered. Listen to our mixlist of hard rock and heavy metal tunes specially curated for the month of September.
Wow, I cannot believe we are already in September. 2023 is flying by. For music this month, we have you taken care of with a new set of tunes to check out!
- Queen: "Fat Bottomed Girls" - With all the click bait recently about "Fat Bottomed Girls" being dropped off the new Queen greatest hits album we decided to include it on our mixlist this month. Actually, the reason they did not include the song is that the album is being released for kids to get into Queen. So I really would not call it cancelled. I remember when it was first released as a double a side along with "Bicycle Race." Whenever it came on the radio I could not wait until "Fat Bottomed Girls" would kick in. The funny thing is when I heard this on the radio, I was as old as these kids they are marketing to.
- Ana Moll: "Making Tapes" - Sexy, and up-and-coming metal queen seductress, Ana Moll, burns it up with her third single "Making Tapes." For fans of edgy 80s metal, check this one out. Ana and her band do not disappoint. Check out her other singles as well.
- Dio: "Walk on Water" - Killer song off "Lock up the Wolves" with 17-year-old guitarist Rowan Robertson.
- Metallica: "Blackened" - One of my favorites off of ...And Justice for All.
- Abbath: "Winter Bane" - From the stellar first Abbath album. Winter is coming.
- Body Count: "Civil War" - Ice T's metal band is one to check out. In my opinion, they should be mentioned under the same breath as Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, and Slayer. Check out "Civil War" and let me know what you think. Also, the song features Dave Mustaine providing the spoken vocals on the intro and a killer guitar solo later on.
- Black Sabbath: "Supernaut" - Super song off of Volume 4. How does Tony Iommi come up with these killer riffs?
- Manowar: "The Gods Made Heavy Metal" - When making this month's mixlist it felt like it needed an anthem. Who better to get a metal anthem from than Manowar?
- Judas Priest: "The Sentinel" - Priest at their finest in the 80s.
- Epica: "Chasing the Dragon" - A great epic song to close things out!
