Moody and dark, while wavering on the verge of collapse with drug and alcohol fueled grandiosity.
Released in October, 1978, Live Bootleg captures Aerosmith in their 70s heyday. The album is raw and unapologetic. The band wanted to capture a real live experience and not like other albums coming out at the time that were doctored, overdubbed and sounded perfect.
I first bought this as a cassette during the summer of 1979. I played it all summer and wore out the tape.
Take a listen and hear a band on the brink of destruction while still kicking ass.
