Ripper Return to Death Row Album Review

Ripper Return to Death Row Album Cover
Tim "Ripper" Owens' vocals rip the fabric of spacetime wide open. Released on December 9, 2022, Ripper "Return to Death Row" is the first EP under the "Ripper" moniker.

The six song EP wastes no time in pummeling you into oblivion with some of the best metal to close out 2022. " Die While We're Alive" is a seismic aural quake that blasts your eardrums, the likes not heard since The Harrowing of Hell. "Embattled" continues the sonic upheaval with some Arch Enemy like riffage.

"The Night (Take it Back)" continues the auditory undulations while "Silent Cage" has a wicked bass line and the song will remind of you old school metal. They should release this song as the next single as it has the quality to appeal to all metalheads.

"Heros Dare" pursues with smashing havoc and "Return to Death Row" ends the EP without mercy.

Overall, "Return to Death Row" kicks ass. You'll find yourself listening to these songs over and over again. Especially if you like the last two Dee Snider albums, For the Love of Metal and Leave a Scar. These were produced by this album's producers, Jamey Jasta and Nick Bellmore. Both Nick and his brother Charlie also played on these records.

Band Members

  • Chris Taylor - Bass
  • Nick Bellmore - Drums
  • Charlie Bellmore - Guitars
  • Tim "Ripper" Owens - Vocals
Produced by Jamey Jasta and Nick Bellmore
