October Album of the Month: Dio - The Last in Line

Dio - The Last in Line album Cover
Coming off their stellar debut "Holy Diver", "The Last in Line" is the follow up, and it delivers. The band sounds energetic and ready to take on the world. Kicking off with "We Rock" all the way to "Egypt (The Chains are on)" it does not disappoint.
Released on July 2, 1984, it reached number 23 on the U.S. charts. It was their highest charting recording in the U.S.

It is one of my favorite albums from the 1980s. I used to play this constantly. The title track was in heavy rotation on MTV.

So put on some headphones and take a journey back to 1984 with Ronnie James Dio, Vivian Campbell, Jimmy Bain, Vinny Appice, and Claude Schnell.
